How to Unlock Bootloder of Sony Xperia Z2.

Most of the android devices come with the locked bootloader. Unlocking the bootloader allows you to put custom ROMs, mods, root etc on the device which you can’t be done otherwise. Suppose if you want to root you device or want to install some custom ROMS like
AOSP on Sony Xperia Z2 then first you have to unlock the bootloader. In this guide we show you the official way to done on Xperia Z2 android smartphone. All you have to download some files on your desktop and IMEI code of your device to get started. Let’s take a look how to do that easily

 
Pre-Requisites to update your Android device.
1.    Follow this procedure only and only if you have Android Device with the specific model number.
2.      Your device should be charged more than 80%.
3.      Make sure you have all the backup of your internal and external stored files.
4.      Make sure you have USB debugging mode enabled.
5.      Don’t Try to flash this ROM over any other Device 

Download Requirement:-
1.       Download Fastboot & Driver :- Click Here to Download

Unlock Bootloader Process:-
1.       Download Fastboot & Driver and extract the folder on your desktop.
3.      Read everything! Now click on Yes, I’m sure button.
 

4.    Now form the next page clock on the “I accept” button to confirm that you accept the legal terms mentioned on the page.

5.    On the next page you will see a form in which you have to mention the details like Your Name, Your device IMEI code and the email address. Fill the form as described in the image below.
6.      You should now receive your unique unlock key via Email. Save this key safely, you need this file in next steps.
7.     Now go on your windows desktop and open the Fastboot folder that you downloaded on the step 1.
8.   Hold SHIFT and right click on the background of the folder. Select ‘Open command window here
9.     Connect your phone in Fastboot mode (turn phone off, hold Volume UP button and plug in USB Cable).
10.   In the Command Prompt window type in fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version

11.    If a value is returned (it will return 0.5), it means the phone is correctly connected.
12.  Now type in fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY and replace KEY with the key which you received earlier on your email box on Step 6.
13.  Hit enter once you’ve put your unique bootloader unlock key in place.
14.  You’re device should now be bootloader unlocked.
